Information on the ATCC Licensed Derivative® Program and Microbiologics® License and Supply Agreement

Microbiologics® specialises in producing lyophilised reference stock cultures for quality control laboratories. Each lyophilised microorganism is no more than four passages from the reference culture and is authentic and traceable.

Microbiologics® offer more than 750 microorganism strains derived from well-known culture collections from around the world including ATCC®, NCIMB, NCTC and more, however, in order to be able to offer microorganisms from these culture collections, Microbiologics® has entered into agreements with the owners of these culture collections. This requires the end users (ie customers) to agree to the terms of use by signing the appropriate agreement(s), before BioNovus Life Sciences can supply product to the end user. Depending on the microorganisms the end user wishes to purchase, will determine if they have agree to and sign one or both of following two agreements:
 
  • ATCC Licensed Derivative® Program*
  • Microbiologics® License and Supply Agreement**

ATCC Licensed Derivative® Program*
In order to purchase lyophilised microorganism preparations from Microbiologics® containing ATCC® biological material, the customer (ie end user) will be asked to sign an End User Agreement. This agreement is part of the ATCC Licensed Derivative® program that was created to ensure quality and address global responsibilities when handling such materials. ATCC® applies a royalty fee (see Note 1) on all products containing ATCC® biological material. In order to receive these products, an authorised representative from the customer's organisation must agree to the terms of the End User Agreement. It is mandatory that the end user's organisation registers for the program before a customer's order can be accepted by BioNovus Life Sciences.

To register for this program, please download and complete the End User Agreement and return it to BioNovus Life Sciences either by fax or by mail. BioNovus Life Sciences will ensure the registration of customers' End User Agreements which are returned directly to BioNovus Life Sciences.

Note 1: All Prices for Microbiologics® products derived from ATCC biological material are inclusive of all royalty fees.

Microbiologics® License and Supply Program**
In 2008 Microbiologics® entered into an exclusive agreement with The National Collection of Industrial, Food and Marine Bacteria (NCIMB) of Scotland. This agreement allows Microbiologics® customers (ie end users) to choose from a selection of microorganisms from a variety of respected culture collections from around the world, including NCTC, NCIMB, NCYC and more. A royalty fee (see Note 2) will be charged on behalf of the culture collections. In order to receive these products, an authorised representative from the customer's organisation must agree to the terms of the Microbiologics® License and Supply Agreement. It is mandatory that the end user's organisation registers for the program before a customer's order can be accepted by BioNovus Life Sciences.

To register for this program, please download and complete the Microbiologics® License and Supply Agreement and return it to BioNovus Life Sciences either by fax or by mail. BioNovus Life Sciences will ensure the registration of customers' Microbiologics® License and Supply Agreements which are returned directly to BioNovus Life Sciences.
