Microbiology Quality Control Slides are made to provide quality control in clinical and pharmaceutical laboratories where quality matters most. The microscopic slide preparations contain specific organism populations with known and predictable characteristics. Slides come with a Certificate of Quality and a guaranteed shelf-life of at least three months. Microbiologics® offers a variety of Methanol-Fixed Quality Control Slides including:
 
  • Gram Stain
  • GC Slide Mycobacterium & Cryptosporidium for acid fast staining
  • Zinc PVA & SAF preserved fecal smears that contain representative intestinal protozoa
  • Pneumocystis in non-human tissue
  • Fungal/Yeast Slide
  • Fungal/Yeast slide with host cell
  • Microsporidium
 
Parasite Suspensions are packaged in a vial containing 1mL of a particular parasite species. Each Parasite Suspension comes with a Certificate of Performance that includes detailed information about the parasite.

Microbiology QC Slides
Go to Microbiologics websiteMicrobiology QC Slides come with one or two droplets of an air-dried and methanol-fixed organism, or a single smear containing a designated organism population. There 12 Microbiology QC Slides available consisting of six groups of microscope slide preparations which include:
 
  • Acid-Fast Stain Controls
  • Blood Parasites
  • Tissue Parasites
  • Intestinal Parasites
  • Gram Stain Controls
  • Mycology Controls

Parasite Suspensions
 
Go to Microbiologics websiteParasite Suspensions are packaged in a vial containing 1mL of a particular parasite species (inlcudes fecal matter, the parasite and is preserved in formalin solution, neutral buffered, 10%). Each Parasite Suspension comes with a Certificate of Performance that includes detailed information about the parasite.

This product is intended to be used in one, or more, of the following techniques depending on the characteristics of the organism:
  • Immunoassay for the detection of antigens
  • Wet mount microscopy to observe morphological characteristics of the organism
  • Acid-Fast staining to observe staining and morphological characteristics of the organism
 
These parasite suspensions are ready to use and are stored at room temperature and have a two year shelf life from date of manufacture.

Parasite Suspensions are available containing one the following micoorganisms:
 
  • Ascaris lumbricoides
  • Blastocystis hominis
  • Cryptosporidium species
  • Diphyllobothrium latum
  • Endolimax nana
  • Gardia lambia
  • Hymenolepis nana
  • Iodomoeba butschlii
  • Necator americanus
  • Strongyloides stercoralis
  • Taenia species
  • Trichuris trichura
