General Information on Suppliers |

www.chromotek.com |
ChromoTek produces a range of innovative products for rapid isolation of green fluorescent protein (GFP) and red fluorescent proteins (RFP) fusion protein. GFP and RFP and variants thereof are widely used to study protein localization and dynamics.
For biochemical analyses, including mass spectroscopy and enzyme activity measurements, the GFP fusion proteins and their interacting factors can be isolated quickly and efficiently (one step) via immunoprecipitation using the GFP-Trap®. These interactions are mediated by a small GFP binding protein coupled to agarose beads or magnetic beads, which enables the purification of any protein of interest fused to GFP, eGFP, YFP or Venus.
Similarly RFP fusion proteins can be isolated quickly and efficiently with the RFP-Trap®. The interactions are mediated by a small RFP binding protein coupled to either agarose or magnetic beads, which enables the purification of any protein of interest fused to RFP (monomeric derivates of DsRed, including mRFP1, mCherry, mPlum, mOrange). |

www.jellagen.co.uk |
Jellagen produces research grade functional non-mammalian collagen products sustainably sourced from jellyfish. Fibrillar collagens such as type I, II, III and V exist as a triple helix. These form strong fibers that can be made into structures with excellent biocompatability, making collagen a highly versatile biomaterial. Jellagen's non-mammalian collagen retains its triple helix structure producing a functional collagen. As an alternative to mammalian collagen, Jellagen jellyfish has similar proliferation characteristics, induces the same morphology in cells and is not cytotoxic. |
